Cheekwood offers year-round beauty on an historic property with 55 acres of awe-inspiring gardens, expansive vistas and art. Visitors enjoy programming for all ages, exhibitions, family activities, and year-round festivals celebrating the four seasons. Within its thirteen distinct gardens and woodland sculpture trail, a wide variety of herbaceous perennials, shrubs, and trees combine with rotating seasonal displays to provide a place for reflection and inspiration.

Arboretum Information
Since its inception as a public botanical garden in 1960, Cheekwood has strived to collect and showcase trees native to Tennessee and the Southeast as well as species from other regions, countries, and continents. The Arboretum at Cheekwood is accredited at the highest level by the Tennessee Urban Forestry Council (TUFC) and, in 2020, the collection was granted Level II status by the global organization, ArbNet. Within the over 2,100 trees on the property, Cheekwood has most recently documented 1,267 deciduous trees; 576 evergreens; 16 deciduous conifers; and 238 dogwoods.
